Three people have been found shot to death in a burned home in Robertson County, according to Kentucky State Police Post 6.
Troopers responded Sunday afternoon at approximately 3:30 to a house fire on Oak Ridge Road. Upon police arriving at the scene, they were informed that individuals could be in the burning residence.
Fire department personnel, police said, were initially unable to enter the home due to the intensity of the fire. Entry was eventually made into the residence at 9:00 Sunday night where three deceased adults were found.
All three victims had suffered gunshot wounds, according to police, with one of the individuals suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The case remains under investigation. The names of the victims have not been released.
