
Seven people were arrested on 32 total charges for allegedly dealing drugs out of two Owensboro motels.
The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office said that on Tuesday morning deputies conducted an investigation where undercover officers bought methamphetamine from multiple suspects living and working out of Owensboro motels.
Five of the seven suspects were arrested at two motels: The Colonel House Motel, where two maintenance workers were arrested, and Days Inn. Two suspects were arrested at Owensboro’s Moreland Park for dealing drugs out of the Colonel House Motel, according to the sheriff’s office.
In addition to the seven arrests, police seized methamphetamine, amphetamine, synthetic marijuana, surveillance equipment, drug trafficking paraphernalia, and a firearm.
The suspects arrested and their charges:
- Ronald L. Burroughs, 56, a maintenance worker at the Colonel House Motel, was charged with three counts of trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
- William “Billy” Carman, 45, a maintenance worker at the Colonel House Motel, was charged with two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
- John A. Burroughs, 59, of the Colonel House Motel, was charged with two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), trafficking in synthetic drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Meghan J. Bratcher, 36, of the Colonel House Motel, was charged with three counts of trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Jerrod T. Eleazer, 46, of the Days Inn, was charged with five counts of trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine, amphetamine, fentanyl), trafficking in synthetic drugs, possession of marijuana, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
- Jericho L. Young, 41, of Owensboro, was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), trafficking in synthetic drugs, sale/transfer of simulated controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Tiffany A. Dukes, 29, of the Colonel House Motel, was charged with two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), theft by unlawful taking and fraudulent use of a credit card. She was additionally served with two warrants.
All seven suspects were lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center.
