Leitchfield police are looking for two suspects responsible for burglarizing two businesses.

As K105 previously reported, Leitchfield officers responded to the burglary Tuesday morning at approximately 5:30 at the Marathon/Taco Bell location at 802 South Main Street.

The investigation showed that “an employee who was preparing to open the store observed two male subjects inside” the business. The suspects were wearing dark hoodies and their faces were covered. At least one of the burglars had on a backpack.

The suspects fled out of the back of the businesses and entered a dark-colored pickup truck. Police do not know the make or model.

Surveillance footage shows the suspects entering Taco Bell through the drive-thru window using crowbars. The suspects then stole Lottery tickets and cigarettes from the Marathon convenience store, LPD Det. Sgt. Ian Renfrow said.

The Leitchfield Police Department is requesting assistance identifying the two suspects. If anyone recognizes “anything specific about the persons in these photos” or was in the area Tuesday morning between 4:20 a.m. and 5:30 a.m., and saw anything, contact LPD at 270-259-3850.
