A man has been killed in a three-vehicle accident in Bullitt County.
Kentucky State Police said troopers responded to the crash Wednesday night at approximately 8:00 in the 800 block of South Bardstown Road (Hwy 31-E), near Mt. Washington.
The preliminary investigation revealed a Jeep Grand Cherokee, being driven south by 47-year-old Jason Durbin, of Bardstown, crossed the center line and struck a northbound Chevrolet Cavalier head-on, police said. A northbound Ford F-250 then hit the Cavalier.
Gary Bowman, 26, of Coxs Creek, who was driving the Cavalier, was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Bullitt County Coroner’s Office.
Durbin was transported to University of Louisville Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver and passenger in the Ford were not injured.
The crash remains under investigation by accident reconstructionist, Trooper Scott Wheatley.
