A Meade County man has been arrested for shooting his girlfriend in the face.
The Meade County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were dispatched Thursday morning at 6:50 to the 71000 block of Battletown Road on the report of gunfire.
The person who called 911 told Meade County dispatch: “Dad’s gun went off. Mother has been shot.”
Upon police arriving at the scene, they found 39-year-old Crystal Ann Holderman (aka Crystal Fetch), of Battletown, deceased in a bedroom. She had been shot in the eye with an AR-15 during an argument, the sheriff’s office told media outlets.
Police arrested Holderman’s boyfriend, 37-year-old Derick L. Ford, of Battletown, on Thursday and charged him with Holderman’s murder.
Ford is being held in the Meade County Detention Center on a $250,000 cash bond.
