A Taylor County mother has been charged in the death of her six-month-old baby.
The Campbellsville Police Department arrested 24-year-old Haley Fisher, of Campbellsville, and charged her with first-degree manslaughter, first-degree criminal abuse (victim under 12), and two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
The arrest citation, according to media outlets, states that police were dispatched Friday night at approximately 10:30 to Anna Court in Campbellsville on the report of deceased six-month-old girl.
Upon police arriving at the scene, Fisher told investigators that she had smoked methamphetamine in her bedroom at around 9:30 p.m. The door to the room was open and all three of her children were in the home. About 30 minutes later, she found her daughter dead.
Further investigation showed the baby had been neglected, malnourished and appeared dehydrated.
Two children, ages one-plus-years-old and three, were removed from the home. The one-year-old tested positive for methamphetamine.
Fisher is being held in the Taylor County Detention Center on a $500,000 cash bond.
