Two juveniles have been charged with the armed robbery of a Vine Grove convenience store.

The robbery occurred Saturday night at approximately 8:30 at the Shreeji Foodmart in the 6800 block of Flaherty Road near the Hardin-Meade County line.

Meade County Sheriff Phillip Wimpee told WXBC.com that two suspects wearing masks — one armed with a handgun — stole items from the convenience store. When police responded to the scene, they observed two male juveniles matching the description of the suspects on Carter Drive, a short distance from the scene of the robbery.

The suspects were in possession of a BB gun that closely resembled a firearm. They also had merchandise taken from the store in their possession.

The suspects were charged with first-degree robbery and lodged in the Warren County Regional Juvenile Justice Center.
