A man has been arrested at a Shelby County hotel with over three pounds of drugs, including heroin, fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office responded Sunday morning at approximately 2:45 to the Hampton Inn in Simpsonville on the report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arriving at the scene, deputies observed a large amount of drugs in a vehicle belonging to 45-year-old Charles J. Nutter, of Louisville.

During a search of the vehicle, police located over 2.5 pounds of methamphetamine, 11.7 grams of cocaine, a half-gram of heroin, one gram of pressed fentanyl pills, and a half-pound of marijuana.

Together, the drugs have a street value of over $25,000, according to the sheriff’s office.

Nutter was charged with four counts of trafficking in a controlled substance (fentanyl, methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine), possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified), trafficking in marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He’s being held in the Shelby County Detention Center on a $25,000 cash bond.
