Police in Hardin County are looking for a convicted sex offender who held a woman at gunpoint in her home.

The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office responded Sunday morning at 5:30 to a residence in the 200 block of South Boundary Road near Radcliff after dispatch received a third-party call regarding a man pointing a firearm at a female, according to The News-Enterprise.

Prior to police arriving at the scene, the victim was able to hide from the suspect, 45-year-old June Noel Jordan, of Radcliff, somewhere in the home. Deputies, upon arriving, could not get anyone to come to the door, so a search warrant was obtained and entry made.

The victim, who was uninjured, was located hiding in the residence. Police searched for Jordan but he was not found on the property.  Deputies, though, did find the suspect’s firearm.

Assisting at the scene were Kentucky State Police, Kentucky Fish & Wildlife and the Radcliff and Vine Grove Police Departments.

Jordan was convicted in Nelson County for promoting a sexual performance by a minor, victim 14-years-old, according to the Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry.

Jail records indicate Jordan was released from the Hardin County Detention earlier this month after being arrested and charged in February 2024 with trafficking in methamphetamine and tampering with physical evidence.

Anyone with information on Jordan’s location is asked to contact your local law enforcement.
