The Grayson County teenager missing from Clarkson has been found.

The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office said 14-year-old Morgan Dennison has been located and is safe. Officials added that an adult male will “likely” be charged in her disappearance.

Morgan had last been seen Thursday at approximately 11:45 a.m. walking on North Patterson Street.

While announcing the teen was missing, Sheriff Norman Chaffins issued a warning to anyone who may assist or harbor Morgan: “A reminder that if you knowingly assist this child in remaining a missing persons without calling the authorities, you could be charged criminally.”

The most common charges someone faces if accused of harboring or assisting a missing juvenile is unlawful transaction with a minor and custodial interference. But, based on the circumstances of each individual case, additional charges could be filed.

In April 2021, a Leitchfield man was charged with felony unlawful transaction with a minor and felony custodial interference for his role in the disappearance of a 16-year-old girl.

In February 2019, several Grayson County residents were charged after harboring a missing 14-year-old girl.

In the 2019 case, County Attorney for Grayson County Jeremy Logsdon issued the following statement:

Due to the increased numbers of minors being reported missing, the County Attorney’s Office feels it is necessary to make the following statement: Any person who assists a runaway minor in avoiding the custody of their rightful parent or guardian, or the investigating law enforcement officers, will be charged and prosecuted fully for their violations of the law. The lives and safety of our community’s children are extremely important.
