Man sets 4 Kroger Halloween displays on fire

A Smiths Grove man has been arrested after allegedly setting fire to a Kroger store in Bowling Green.

The Bowling Green Fire Department responded Monday afternoon to the Kroger on the Hwy 31-W Bypass and found that 35-year-old Derek J. Coleman had set fire to four Halloween displays; two inside the store and two outside the building, according to a report by WNKY.com.

No one was injured.

Bowling Green police arrested Coleman and charged him with first-degree arson, first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), second-degree criminal mischief, second-degree disorderly conduct, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Coleman is being held in the Warren County Regional Jail on a $10,000 cash bond.
