Earthquake strikes central Ky. less than 24 hours after Tennessee quake

An earthquake recorded in central Kentucky came less than 24 hours after a quake struck southeastern Tennessee.

A 2.8 magnitude quake was recorded at 3:41 Sunday morning near High Bridge in Jessamine County, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. No damage was reported.

On Saturday morning, a 4.1 magnitude quake struck approximately 30 miles south of Knoxville and was felt as far away as Atlanta, Georgia, and North Carolina as tremors spread throughout the southeast U.S.

The Tennessee quake hit at approximately 9:00 a.m. No injuries or major damage have been reported.
