
The Leitchfield Police Department is investigating a late-night stabbing.
The Leitchfield Police Department, Grayson County Sheriff’s Office and EMS were dispatched Tuesday night at 11:40 to the report of a female being stabbed on Wilson Drive in Leitchfield in a domestic violence incident.
Upon officers arriving at the scene, a woman was found to have suffered multiple stab wounds, according to Leitchfield police. The victim is in her 30s.
She was transported by EMS to Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center.
The suspect, 32-year-old Nathaniel M. Hardin, of Leitchfield, who law enforcement officers contacted at the residence, had superficial wounds and was transported by Leitchfield PD to the ER before being taken to LPD headquarters for an interview.
Following the interview, Hardin was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center where he’s been charged with first-degree assault (domestic violence), a class B felony punishable by 10 to 20 years in prison.
Leitchfield police obtained a search warrant for the residence and executed the warrant beginning at approximately 4:50 a.m. Wednesday.
