Art in the Park was an overwhelming success as the event raised nearly $7,000 for Grayson County Alliance.
Over 800 people patronized the event, held at Grayson Co. Middle School on Saturday (due to bad weather), resulting in $6,700 raised for GCA, according to GCA Executive Director Debbie Childress. Tiny Food Art, Childress said, raised over $450 of the $6,700 total.
“The quality of the Fine Arts and Fine Crafts were extraordinary, so much that for the first time the judge gave a runner up to best in show,” Childress exclaimed.
“We are thankful for our partnerships with Leitchfield Tourism and K105 to make this event happen and all the sponsors and in-kind support that make this event successful,” Childress said. “Relocating to Grayson County Middle School was a lot of work but we are so thankful that GCMS cares so much about helping GCA and promoting the arts that they give us a great place to hold the event.”
