A Taylorsville woman has died after a vehicle crashed into a tree, a vehicle and a house in Bardstown.

The Bardstown Fire Department said firefighters were dispatched to the crash Saturday morning at approximately 4:40 in the 800 block of West Stephen Foster Avenue.

State police said the investigation showed that 25-year-old Jason Wurts, of Taylorsville, lost control of a 2022 Hyundai Elantra and exited the roadway where the vehicle hit a tree, an unoccupied vehicle and, according to the Bardstown FD, a house.

A passenger in the Elantra, 27-year-old Morgan Williamson, also of Taylorsville, was transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.

Wurts was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
