Paul Davis Gibson, age 93, of Millerstown, KY, passed away Sunday, (June 22, 2025) at Grayson Nursing and Rehabilitation in Leitchfield, KY. He was born on October 15, 1931 in Millerstown, KY, the son of the late Justin Garland and Emma Carby Gibson.
Paul retired from Wilson & Muir Bank & Trust, where he served as Senior Vice President, working at both the Big Clifty and Main branches. Prior to that, he was President of Citizens Bank & Trust. A devoted family man and dedicated farmer, Paul also enjoyed following the stock market.
In 1954, he married the love of his life, Janice, and together they raised a beautiful family. Paul was a wonderful father and a proud grandfather, deeply cherish by his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Victoria Hatfield of Louisville, Pauletta Stevenson of Leitchfield, Phillip Gibson (Martina) of Bowling Green, and Velvet Jones (Tim) of Clarkson; six grandchildren, Christopher Lee (Millie), Seth Lee (Teresa), Ashley Holley (Jay), Ivan Gibson, Spencer Jones (Elizabeth), and Sheldon Jones (Kelsey); 14 great-grandchildren and one on the way; and five great-great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Janice Morrison Gibson; two grandchildren, Cheyenne Gibson and Jacob Hatfield; and his siblings, Harley, W.T, Lowell, Troy, Euell, Jesse, Ralph, Robert, Geneva, Lillian, Francis, Anthonette, and Alverta.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, (June 29, 2025) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Shrewsbury Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 9:00 a.m. Sunday until time of services.
