A 66-year-old man has been arrested on drug trafficking charges in Ohio County.
The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office said that on Saturday a deputy encountered a vehicle stopped in the middle of Taffy Road, approximately 10 miles north of Hartford.
Upon further investigation, and a search of the vehicle, the driver, Michael Dwayne Leonard, of Owensboro, was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and a trafficking amount of methamphetamine.
Leonard was charged with trafficking in and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center, but he is no longer listed as an inmate.
