
A woman was arrested in the parking lot of a Morgantown restaurant with a trafficking amount of methamphetamine and nearly $1,300 in cash.
The incident occurred on Thursday at the Morgantown McDonald’s, at 1174 South Main Street, after a woman, 45-year-old Miranda A. Hurt, of Cave City, was found passed out in a vehicle, according to a report by the Beech Tree News.
Prior to police arriving, EMS personnel woke Hurt, who said she had taken methamphetamine, hydrocodone, oxycodone, and gabapentin. She refused medical treatment.
During a search, police located a bag of methamphetamine and multiple pill bottles along with a pipe and other drug paraphernalia. She also had $1,296 in cash.
She was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), public intoxication (excluding alcohol), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Hurt was lodged in the Butler County Jail.
