Bank robbery suspect arrested in Campbellsville

A bank robbery suspect has been arrested in Campbellsville.

The robbery occurred Friday morning at approximately 9:00 at Citizens Bank on Main Street in Campbellsville. The suspect, wearing a black mask and carrying a black bag, entered the bank and demanded money, according to the Campbellsville Police Department.

The suspect left the scene with an undetermined amount of cash.

By Friday evening, police had identified the suspect as 53-year-old David S. Cox, of Campbellsville.

Cox was arrested on Saturday afternoon and charged with second-degree robbery, tampering with physical evidence and fleeing or evading police.

He’s being held in the Taylor County Detention Center on two bonds totaling $260,000.
