Man dies in UTV crash. 14 people killed in 12 crashes since early March

A man has died in a UTV crash, making at least 14 people who have perished in ATV/UTV wrecks in Kentucky since March 4.

The latest incident happened on Saturday afternoon on Starfire Haul Road in Knott County, according to Kentucky State Police.

The state police investigation showed that 43-year-old Michael Miller, of Vest, was driving a UTV when he lost control, resulting in the vehicle overturning and ejecting Miller.

Miller, who state police said was not wearing a helmet or seatbelt, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

An autopsy has been scheduled, as toxicology results are pending.

The crash remains under investigation by Trooper Kyle Amburgey.

K105 has reported a total of 12 fatal off-road vehicle crashes in Kentucky that killed 14 people since early March. Since July 7, six people have perished in ATV/UTV wrecks.
