
One man was killed and another charged with murder in Owen County.
Kentucky State Police said troopers responded to a shooting Saturday morning at 2:00 near Monterey in Owen County.
Upon arriving at the scene, police discovered 26-year-old Jamar Douglas, of Louisville, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was airlifted to University of Kentucky Medical Center where he died early Sunday morning.
The investigation, according to state police, indicated Douglas had been shot by 52-year-old Gary Bullion, of Ghent (Carroll Co.).
Bullion has been arrested and charged with murder, possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified), possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was lodged at the Carroll County Detention Center.
