A Hardin County woman has been accused of trying to suffocate her baby with a pillow.

A Hardin County Grand Jury recently indicted 27-year-old Brooke Elizabeth Ann Corner, of Radcliff, on first-degree strangulation (domestic violence) and first-degree criminal abuse (victim under the age of 12) charges, according to The News-Enterprise.

As K105 previously reported, the incident happened on the night of June 7 at a residence on University Drive in Radcliff when Corner was observed trying to suffocate her child with a pillow.

Corner told police her child was screaming and “out of control,” the Elizabethtown newspaper reports, as she admitted to holding a pillow over her son’s face.

A witness told authorities that Corner held the pillow over the child’s face for between one and two minutes, and that she had to be physically stopped from suffocating the child.

She’s been held in the Hardin County Detention Center on a $25,000 cash bond since her arrest on June 7.
