A middle school student has died in a golf cart crash.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office in a social media post said the accident happened on Sunday afternoon at approximately 4:30 on S Fishing Creek Road, about 12 miles east of Liberty.
The investigation showed that a 15-year-old girl was driving the golf cart on the roadway when the vehicle left the road and overturned.
A male passenger, 13-year-old Dawson Rapp, was transported to Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford where he was pronounced deceased. The female juvenile driving the golf cart suffered unknown injuries.
This case remains under investigation by Lincoln County Deputy Austin Price.
Rapp was in the seventh grade at Lincoln County Middle School.
