An Owensboro man is facing 70 child porn counts after being found with over 190 child sex abuse videos.
The Owensboro Police Department arrested 26-year-old Mason H. Kazlauskas on Tuesday at his home on Griffith Place West following the execution of a search warrant.
During the search, officers found “more than 190 videos of child sexual abuse materials,” Owensboro police said in a social media post. “Many of these videos have been positively identified by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.”
Kazlauskas was charged with 20 counts distribution of material portraying a sexual performance by minor (victim under the age of 12), 15 counts of distribution of material portraying a sexual performance by a minor (victim under the age of 18), 20 count of possession of material portraying a sexual performance by a minor (victim under the age of 12), and 15 counts of possession of material portraying a sexual performance by a minor (victim under the age of 18).
“Due to statutory limits, only 20 counts per charge can be filed,” Owensboro police said, “however, additional charges are expected after a full forensic analysis of seized evidence.”
Kazlauskas was lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center on a $50,000 full cash bond.
