Anna Marie Mudd Decker, 79 of Caneyville, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. She was born November 24, 1945. Her parents were Gilbert Scott Mudd and Nellie Marie Hack Mudd.
Anna was saved March 23, 1981, at the age of 35, at Pleasant Union United Baptist Church and was Baptized at Caney Fork Creek. She was a Charter Member of Wilson United Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to church and serving the Lord. She loved spending time with her family and friends and working in her yard with her flowers.
Anna is survived by her husband of nearly 59 years, Ray Decker, of Caneyville; Two sons, Anthony Ray Decker and Amie and Troy Stephen Decker and Joanie, all of Caneyville and Two Grandchildren who she loved dearly, Kayla Marie Decker Gaddie and Chase of Caneyville and Dakota Ray “Kody” Decker and Katie of Leitchfield. Two Great Grandchildren also survive, Kenleigh Elizabeth Decker and Kamden Ray Decker of Leitchfield. Anna loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with all her heart.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Jean Mudd.
Funeral services for Anna will be Friday, October 3, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Wilson United Baptist Church on Higgs Rd in Caneyville with Bro. Curtis Johnson and Bro. Rusty Brown officiating. Burial will be at the Wilson United Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Dermitt Funeral Home on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm and at Wilson United Baptist Church on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 9 to time of service at the church.
