The Meade County Sheriff’s Office is requesting assistance in an ongoing murder investigation.
Rhonda Aebersold, 49, of Brandenburg, was discovered deceased inside her residence on Old Mill Road on June 5, 2023.
“Detectives with the Meade County Sheriff’s Office have methodically and relentlessly investigated the murder of Rhonda Aebersold. An autopsy was conducted on the victim and the medical examiner’s office has ruled this death a homicide,” Meade County Sheriff Phillip Wimpee said at the time.
Detectives are currently following leads, but are asking anyone with information regarding Aebersold’s murder to come forward.
A dedicated tip line has been opened by the Meade County Sheriff’s Office where “all tips will be kept confidential to protect the privacy of those who come forward.”
Within a month of Aebersold’s body being discovered, Meade County law enforcement had executed 20 search warrants related to the case, according to the sheriff’s office.
