A Leitchfield man has been jailed after threatening the lives of an elected official, the Clarkson Police Chief and a Grayson County woman.
The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office arrested 56-year-old William C. “Buddy” Howell at his residence following a Kentucky State Police investigation.
The investigation showed, according to the Complaint Warrant, that Howell threatened the lives of County Attorney for Grayson County Jeremy Logsdon, Clarkson Police Chief Buck Meredith, who is also running for Grayson County sheriff, and a Grayson County woman.
“Through an investigation, it was found that Mr. Howell had made threats of harm and death to Chief Meredith, County Attorney Jeremy Logsdon” and a female, the Complaint Warrant states.
Howell was charged with four counts of third-degree terroristic threatening and lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center on a $5,000 cash bond.
The Kentucky State Police investigation is ongoing into Howell’s activities.
A special prosecutor has already been appointed to the case, as Breckinridge Co. Attorney Nikki Anthony-Armes will lead the prosecution of Howell.
