Identities of 2 people killed in Breckinridge Co. crash released

The identities of two people killed in a single-vehicle crash in Breckinridge County have been released.

The accident occurred on Saturday afternoon at approximately 3:30 in the 1900 block of Cloverport-McQuady Road (Hwy 105) when a northbound Chevrolet truck left the roadway in an “S” curve, struck a guy wire and overturned, ejecting both occupants.

Killed in the crash was the driver, 83-year-old George Heaverin, of Cloverport, and his passenger, 63-year-old Sherrie Patterson, also of Cloverport, the Breckinridge Co. Sheriff’s Office told WXBC.com.

They were both pronounced deceased at the scene by the Breckinridge Co. Coroner’s Office.
