A Breckinridge County man suspected of killing a Meade County woman committed suicide before police could locate him.
Scott Hornback, 45, of Irvington, is accused of fatally shooting 55-year-old Mary Crase at her home on Simpson Road near Ekron. Police discovered Crase’s body at approximately 1:00 Monday afternoon. She was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Meade County Coroner’s Office.
Hornback fled the scene, but he was discovered deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in a vehicle behind a family member’s residence at approximately 9:30 Monday night, according to Kentucky State Police.
No other information has been released.
