Robert Lee “Bob” Pawley, age 79, of Falls of Rough, KY, passed away Monday, (November 17, 2025) in Duff, KY.

He was born on February 15, 1946 in Louisville, KY, the son of the late Francis and Elsie Mudd Pawley.

A Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Bob served during Vietnam. He worked in maintenance for ECTC and enjoyed fishing, watching sports (especially the University of Kentucky) and spending time with his grandkids. He was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church at Axtel, and a proud member of the Knights of Columbus where he served as Faithful Navigator of the fourth degree and a past treasurer.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nancy Galloway Pawley of Duff; two sons, Richard Pawley (Barbara) of Duff & Joseph Pawley (Teresa Harper) of Hardinsburg, KY; two daughters, Christy Baxter (Wayne) & Amy Butler, both of Duff; 15 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Allyssa, Richard, Kelsey, Levi, Haley, Deidre, Robert, Luke, Daniel, Abby, Brinna, Keegan, Hunter & Rylee; 19 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Ed Pawley of Elizabethtown, KY and Larry Pawley (Geneva) of Leitchfield, KY. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Catherine Bratcher; five brothers, Chuck, Don, John, Mike & Tommy Pawley and an infant brother, Frankie Pawley.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, (November 22, 2025) at the St. Anthony Catholic Church at Axtel. Father Steve Hohman will be officiating. Burial will be in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday and at the St. Anthony Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
