Elizabethtown Community and Technical College’s 2026-27 scholarship application period opens on December 1.

Only one application is needed to be considered for more than 50 scholarship opportunities available, and all new and returning students are encouraged to apply.

Scholarships vary in amount and eligibility criteria. Many are available to all students, while others are available to students of specific academic programs as specified by individual donors. Last year, students from all walks of life were awarded more than $151,000 in ECTC scholarships.

“ECTC already has the lowest tuition in the state, and thanks to our generous donors, we have dozens of scholarships that can help offset the cost,” said ECTC Director of Philanthropy and ECTC Foundation Director Chrissie Angell. “We really are here to help anyone who wants to earn a degree or certificate afford to do so.”

New students should also complete the ECTC admissions application and get an ID number before applying for scholarships. The 2026-2027 Free Application for Federal Student Aid also is required.

“We have more scholarships than ever before, and we encourage every student to apply, even if they think they might not qualify,” Director of Financial Aid Michael Barlow said. “We want this to be as simple as possible, so the ECTC financial aid team is available to help students both with filling out their FAFSA and with the scholarship application.”

ECTC will again host multiple Scholarship Day Workshops where students can receive help with their scholarship application. Events will be held in January and February. Details will be available at elizabethtown.kctcs.edu.

Starting December 1, students can apply at ectc.us/scholarships. The priority application deadline is February 28.
