In tragic incident, a woman suffering from an apparent mental health crisis was run over by someone searching for her.
The incident happened on Friday afternoon in a field in the 12000 block of Pilot Rock Road, approximately 10 miles east of Hopkinsville.
The Christian County Sheriff’s Office told WKDZ.com that searchers were looking for 72-year-old Shelia D. Faughn, of Hopkinsville, when someone helping in the search ran over Faughn as she laid down in a field.
The Christian County Coroner’s Office pronounced Faughn deceased at the scene.
