
An elderly eastern Kentucky man has been found deceased after a three-day search.
Dan McVey Sr., 78, of Hazard, was last seen alive on Tuesday, November 25 at approximately 3:30 p.m. in the Browns Fork area, west of Hazard, riding a four-wheeler.
A massive search was conducted for the missing man, as first responders and volunteers scoured the area looking for McVey, who suffered from a heart condition as well as other ailments.
Perry County Emergency Management announced on Sunday that McVey had been found deceased.
“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the conclusion of the three-day search for the missing person from the Browns Fork community. He has been located, and tragically, he has passed away.”
