
A Nelson County man has been indicted in a fentanyl overdose death.
A Nelson County Grand Jury indicted 48-year-old Phillip W. Young, of Bardstown, for trafficking in a controlled substance (fentanyl) resulting in death. The charge is a class B felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
The incident happened when Young provided 47-year-old Ray A. Calbert with fentanyl or a fentanyl derivative that killed him on November 27, 2024, according to the Bardstown Police Department.
Young is lodged in the Nelson County Detention Center.
