A man has been arrested after allegedly having a sexual relationship with a juvenile.
The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office said that 29-year-old Abel Escobar-Echeverria, of Sebree, was arrested following a “months-long investigation” that found that the suspect had a sexual relationship with a minor.
He was indicted by an Ohio County Grand Jury on several charges, including third-degree rape, first-degree unlawful transaction with a minor (illegal sex act), procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means, and second-degree interference with legislative proceedings.
Echeverria was lodged in the Ohio County Jail on a $100,000 cash bond.
