2 sisters killed when vehicle fails to stop at Muhlenberg Co. intersection

Two sisters perished in a crash after a vehicle failed to stop at an intersection in Muhlenberg County.

Kentucky State Police said troopers responded to the accident on Friday morning at approximately 11:15 near the 15-mile marker of Hwy 431.

The investigation revealed that a vehicle, driven by 68-year-old Morrine E. Cox, of Greenville, failed to stop at the intersection of Hwy 431 and Cleaton Road and struck a semi-truck, being driven by 36-year-old Robert Hosmer, of South Bend, Indiana, and another vehicle, driven by 78-year-old Billy Wilson, of Dunmor.

Cox and her passenger and sister, 64-year-old Virginia Hardman-Grimes, of Phenix City, Alabama, were pronounced deceased at the scene by the Muhlenberg County Coroner’s Office.

Wilson and Hosmer suffered unknown injuries in the crash.
