A Hardin County man has pled guilty to killing his boyfriend.

As K105 previously reported, Christopher McWilliams, 36, of Radcliff, was initially arrested by the Radcliff Police Department on July 4 and charged with first-degree assault after he stabbed 61-year-old Howard Tabor, also of Radcliff, three times in the back at a home on Illinois Road, according to a report by The News-Enterprise.

Tabor was transported to University of Louisville Hospital where he was placed on a ventilator. He died from his injuries on July 11, resulting in McWilliams being charged with murder (domestic violence).

Additionally, McWilliams was charged with being a persistent felony offender. He pled guilty to both charges with no amendments.

Assistant Commonwealth Attorney Kaley Thompson told The News-Enterprise that McWilliams was recently sentenced to 30 years in prison. He won’t be eligible for parole until he serves 20 years.

McWilliams will be formally sentenced on January 13, 2026.
