70-year-old pedestrian hit, killed in Hopkins Co.

A man has been struck and killed in Hopkins County.

Kentucky State Police is investigating after 70-year-old Joseph Davis, of Nortonville, was hit by a Nissan sedan, being driven by a Hopkins County man, on Tuesday evening at approximately 5:50.

Davis was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Hopkins County Coroner’s Office.

The incident happened at the intersection of Hwy 41 and Old Nortonville-White Plains Road in Nortonville, as state police said Davis was “reported to be standing in the roadway.”

The investigation remains ongoing and is being led by Trooper Nathan Pedigo.
