Breckinridge Health has announced the opening of a Cancer Treatment Center at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital.
“Breckinridge Health has officially opened its Cancer Treatment Center, expanding access to lifesaving oncology services for rural patients across Hardinsburg and nearby communities,” the hospital said in a news release.
Angela Portment, Breckinridge Health CEO, noted the importance of having local cancer treatment available, as previously many patients had to travel long distances for treatment.
“We’re grateful to bring this level of care to our community,” Breckinridge Health CEO Angela Portman said. “Every patient deserves access to high-quality treatment without sacrificing proximity to their support system.”
The new services offered by the Cancer Treatment Center include:
- Chemotherapy and infusion therapy

- Personalized treatment coordination with referring oncologists
The Cancer Treatment Center is located at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital at 1011 Old Highway 60 in Hardinsburg, and is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Call 270-580-4455 for appointments or referrals.
