A pedestrian has been killed in Elizabethtown.
The Elizabethtown Police Department said in a press release that officers responded Saturday night at approximately 9:00 to the report of a “vehicle collision involving a pedestrian” in the 1000 block of North Dixie Avenue.
“The preliminary investigation indicates that a southbound SUV, being driven by a juvenile male, struck a pedestrian who was walking in the SUV’s lane of travel,” according to Elizabethtown police.
The pedestrian, an adult male, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The decedent’s identity has not been released.
The accident remains under investigation by the Elizabethtown PD collision reconstruction team.
