
Janetta Jean Turley Rich, 77, of Mammoth Cave passed away Jan. 20, 2026 at her home with her family by her side.
The Jefferson County native was a 1966 graduate of Edmonson County High School and was a retired administrative clerk for the Edmonson County Ambulance Service. Janetta was saved at Cherry Springs United Baptist Church and was a member of Union Light Missionary Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late James Elvin “Mutt” Turley and Edna Ruth Jones Turley and the wife of 47 years to the late Freddie W. Rich, who was the love of her life.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at Union Light Missionary Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will take place 11:00 AM-7:00 PM Thursday and 9:00-10:15 AM Friday at Gravil Funeral Home.
Surviving are two daughters, Tanya Hodges (Jeremy) of Chalybeate and Teresa Rich (Bo) of Mammoth Cave; four grandchildren, Dylan Campbell (Mary) of Mammoth Cave, Brenna Wilson (Matt) of Sweeden, Dawson Stith (Katie) of Lindseyville and Wade Luttrell of Chalybeate; 10 great grandchildren, Maddox, Olivia, Freddie, Lucas, Abel, Ayden, Asher, Ava, Addy and Lyra; a brother, Clayton Turley (Elizabeth) of Smiths Grove; a nephew, Weston Turley (Jessica) of Shepherdsville; and a niece, Kristen Vincent (Nathan) of Chalybeate.
