Residents of the city of Clarkson will vote on whether to allow alcohol sales within the city limits.

Grayson County Fiscal Court accepted and approved a petition presented to the court requesting a vote on the matter at a special called meeting on Thursday morning.

Two of the six magistrates, Brian Ashley and Neal Saltsman, voted against placing the matter on the ballot.

Only residents of the city of Clarkson will vote on whether to allow alcohol sales in the city limits.

The 2026 Primary Election is scheduled for May 19.

As K105 reported last month, alcohol sales at a Grayson County golf course will be on a precinct’s ballot in May, as well.

Grayson County Fiscal Court on January 15 approved placing alcohol sales on the 2026 Primary Election ballot at the South A Leitchfield voting precinct in the 5th Magisterial District.

Magistrates approved the move after County Attorney Jeremy Logsdon informed the court that the petition calling for alcohol sales at Lafayette Golf Club had the necessary number of signatures and all paperwork was in order.
