A veteran who went missing has been found deceased.
Nathan Branstutter, 45, of Richmond, was found deceased Monday evening at an apartment complex in Richmond.
A Green Alert, distributed when U.S. veterans go missing and are believed to be in danger, was issued when Branstutter, who suffered from PTSD, was initially reported missing. He was found deceased only hours after the alert was released.
“Richmond Police sends our condolences to the Branstutter family and all who knew and loved Nathan. As a veteran of the U.S. Military, we are deeply grateful for Nathan’s service to our country, which gives us the freedom to serve and protect our local communities,” the Richmond Police Department said in a social media post.
