An 81-year-old man has died after falling off a cliff.
Jim Rasnick, of Somerset, fell about 30 feet off a cliff behind his home on Military Road, according to a report by the Commonwealth Journal.
Rasnick served as mayor of Burnside from 2002 to 2005.
The incident occurred on Tuesday night at approximately 6:00.
Rasnick was speaking to EMS personnel upon their arrival but died in the emergency room at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
In addition to serving as mayor of Burnside, Rasnick formerly served on the city’s planning and zoning commission.
