Two people avoided injury in a T-bone crash on Shrewsbury Road (Hwy 187).
Grayson County Deputies Joel Baker and Philip Wilt, the Leitchfield Fire Department, EMS, and Grayson County Emergency Management responded to the accident on Thursday night at approximately 6:35 in the 4400 block of Shrewsbury Road.
Upon arriving at the scene, first responders found that a southbound Kia Optima, driven by a Grayson County woman, was traveling south when a GMC Sierra 2500 pulled into the Kia’s path as the male driver of the truck, also of Grayson County, was turning from Armes Lively Road onto Shrewsbury Road.
The driver of the truck said an embankment at the intersection blocked his view, as he failed to see the oncoming car, according to police.
Remarkably, no one was injured.
The roadway was shut down for a short time as first responders worked the scene and the vehicles were removed from the middle of the road.
