Grayson Co. SO looking for Caneyville man wanted for felony strangulation, other violent acts

The Grayson Conty Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man with a history of violence who is currently wanted on felony strangulation, assault and unlawful imprisonment charges.

Police are looking for 30-year-old William Austin Finn, of Caneyville. He is wanted on warrants charging him with first-degree strangulation, unlawful imprisonment, fourth-degree assault, and intimidating a participant in the legal process, according to the GCSO.

Anyone with information on Finn’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office at 270-259-3024, or Grayson County Central Dispatch at 270-259-0303.

According to Kentucky Department of Corrections, Finn was convicted in Meade County in December 2025 for violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO, fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and second-degree criminal mischief. The incident that resulted in Finn’s convictions occurred in December 2023.

He is on probation until December 2027.
