A Hardin County man, previously convicted of multiple felonies, has been sentenced to years in prison after exposing himself to a child.
Shawntez D. Harris, 35, of Radcliff, was convicted in Hardin County in November 2025 for first-degree sex abuse and resisting arrest, according to The News-Enterprise. Harris was arrested on the charges on December 22, 2024.
He was convicted, the jury found, of exposing his genitals to a child. According to The News-Enterprise, Harris “pulled his pants and underwear down,” exposing himself to a child. He also committed other acts of a sexual nature.
The jury recommended a 10-year sentence, a prison term that was handed down to Harris on Tuesday by Hardin Circuit Court Judge Larry Ashlock.
This incident, though, is only the latest instance of Harris running afoul of the law. He was convicted in Nelson County in August 2025 on two counts of fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle, on foot), second-degree burglary, first-degree stalking, theft by unlawful taking (firearm), and intimidating a participant in the legal process, according to the Kentucky Department of Corrections.
He was arrested on those charges in February 2024.
Harris’ long list of arrests includes felony strangulation and fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) charges in October 2022 in Hardin County. In June 2019 in Nelson County, he was jailed for violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO and third-degree terroristic threatening.
He also has multiple DUI arrests.
