
A woman has been arrested after trying to use counterfeit currency to bail someone out of jail.
The Madisonville Police Department arrested 39-year-old Felicia A. Howard, of White Plains, on Sunday afternoon at the Hopkins County Detention Center.
Howard is accused of mixing in 15 fake $100 bills among legal tender while attempting to bond out an inmate.
She was charged with first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, a class C felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison. Howard was lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center but is no longer listed as an inmate.
Howard has a criminal history dating back to 2006, according to online records.
