A bicyclist was killed when a truck passed another vehicle in Hopkins County.
Kentucky State Police said troopers responded to the accident on Wednesday morning, February 18 at approximately 5:45 in the 4400 block of Charleston Road, just north of Dawson Springs.
State police said the investigation showed that a northbound pickup truck traveling on Charleston Road attempted to pass another northbound vehicle when the truck struck a bicyclist, 49-year-old David Baggott, of Dawson Springs.
Baggott was later pronounced deceased by the Hopkins County Coroner’s Office.
The ongoing investigation is being led by KSP Det. Jacob Stephens.
