The body of a man who went missing in late January has been found in a Casey County pond.
The body of 28-year-old Jacob Ring was found by a farmer in a pond on Deany Vanoy Road, approximately eight miles southwest of Liberty.
Ring was reported missing on January 22, 2026. He was last seen near the intersection of Creston Watertower Spur Road and Hwy 206, about one mile east from where his body was found.
The body was transported to the state Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
According to the Casey County Sheriff’s Office, Ring was from Mason County but was in Casey County visiting family.
